Tips For Saving Money

 Tips For Saving Money

Technology makes it easy to spend money. Before you know it, you have spent X amount of money at the click of a button, perhaps more than you intended. Stores make it easy to impulse buy. We have all been there! I'm going to share with you simple tricks to save money!

1. Stop Impulse Buying

Impulse buying is an addiction, and if you take some simple steps, you can treat the problem yourself. There are some ways to combat this. Let's take a look. Add what you want to your cart; at checkout, return the items and not buy them. This task will allow you a sense of fulfillment because you had put them in your cart.

 2. Returnable Items

Make it a priority to buy returnable items so you don't keep things you don't need. Return policies make it easier for you and your wallet. Decide in that return window if you need the item or not.

3. Soul Searching

Ask yourself a lot of questions. Do you already have this item at home, and will it still work for longer? Why do you want this item so severely? Will it bring you long-term happiness? What could you buy for the same amount of money? Is there something better you can do with that money?

4. Make a List

Make a list of the necessities and only get those items. Get out of the store as quickly as possible. Do not allow yourself to get distracted. Do not allow yourself leeway.

5. Money Limit

You already know how much money you have to spend. Stick to it!

6. Only Carry Cash

Don't take your debit and credit cards with you, and this will really allow you to stay on a budget.

7. No Credit Cards

Interest, interest, interest. If you can't pay in cash, then you cannot afford the item right now. Save the credit cards for difficult situations.

8. Savings Accounts

Set up your savings accounts, as many as you need for different things. Big things like a car, a house, education, etc. When you get your paycheck, immediately disperse your money into the other savings accounts. Set aside your bill money. When you have even the slightest amount of money in these accounts, it will be motivation. Do not pull money from these accounts.

9. "Save for Later"

My favorite button is "Save for Later." Put all the items in your cart, and at checkout, buy the necessities. Visit your "Save for Later" section at a later date and then soul search before you put them in your cart again.

10. Compare Prices

Search competitors and find the lower prices before you buy. The internet has made this a quick and straightforward task for us. Many stores will price match.

11. Use Coupons

Pay attention to the weekly papers for coupons. If you are online, you can google search coupon codes and use sites like Honey and Capital One, which will automatically apply coupons.

12. Sales

Watch for sales and if you can hold off on the items until then, do it.

13. Auto-Ship

Many times if you chose auto-ship at check out, you will receive a discount. You can cancel auto-ship for free at any time, so you will never be trapped.

14. Memberships

You can save a lot of money by purchasing a membership. Make sure the membership will save you money. You will want to consider how often you use the service, the cancellation policy, and more.

15. Thrift Shopping

Not always, but most times, you can find excellent, almost unused items at thrift stores. What a great way to reduce, reuse, recycle and save money while doing it! Your finds will likely be practically one of a kind!

I hope some of these tips will help you. In a society that pushes our limits, we need to take back our self-control.

Diary of Psoriasis: My Experience Tracker Pt.1

Diary of Psoriasis: My Experience Tracker Pt.1 By: Kori McKenna In this photo, if you look closely, you can see my hairline has "snowflakes."   This is the first time I have talked about my battle journey with psoriasis, eczema, and similar skin conditions. My first struggle with skin conditions started with scalp psoriasis when I was a child. I also had many skin rashes growing up. Now I am in my mid 20's, and I have scalp psoriasis, rashes, and eczema.      When I went to the doctor as a child, they gave me Head and Shoulder shampoo, which did not keep my scalp psoriasis at bay. Sometimes my scalp would go into remission, but that is a rare occasion that comes and goes. There is no cure for psoriasis.      Recently I went to the doctor as a young adult(Age 23), and they prescribed me three topical medications. The doctor says I have Seboherroic Dermatitis on the front of my scalp, face, and inside my ears; then I have plaques of psoriasis on the sides and back of my sc

Five Ways To Beat Depression

Five Ways To Beat Depression By: Kori McKenna Depression gets the best of everyone at some point. Here are some tips to help get you out of the funk. This is especially helpful as seasonal depression is at its peak this time of the year. 1. Give yourself something to look forward to. At points, this is hard when there might not be anything to look forward to. I say, make something happen so you can find hope or enjoyment in something, even if it's something small.   2. There will never be a perfect time, so it's time to complete dreams, goals, and hobbies that you have put on hold. It's good to have your best interest in mind and start working on yourself.  3. It takes time and practice to get out of depression. If you have fallbacks, it is essential to keep a positive mindset and quickly move forward from setbacks. Resilience and consistency will boost your confidence and help keep you out of depressions.  4.  We have to learn to let go of things we can not control. Take
